The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out every year in January, and is sent out to over two million people registered with GP practices in England. The GP Patient Survey is designed to give patients the opportunity to feed back about their experiences of their GP practice.

The results for 2024 were published yesterday and we wanted to share some highlights on the feedback Cedar Practice received.

  • 87% of respondents reported a good overall experience of this GP practice. This is much higher than the national average (74%) and the average across North East London (68%).
  • 71% of respondents reported a good overall experience of contacting this GP practice. This is higher than the national average (67%) and the average across North East London (62%).
  • 67% of respondents reported that it is was easy to contact this GP practice by phone. This is much higher than the national average (50%) and the average across North East London (48%).
  • 86% of respondents reported that the reception and administrative team at this GP practice are helpful. This is higher than the national average (83%) and the average across North East London (76%).
  • 64% of respondents reported that they usually get to see or speak to their preferred healthcare professional when they would like to. This is much higher than the national average (40%) and the average across North East London (37%).
  • 80% of respondents reported that they have had enough support from local services or organisations in the last 12 months to help manage their long-term conditions or illnesses. This is much higher than the national average (68%) and the average across North East London (61%).
